Ken Redford

Ken Redford has served as our lead pastor since 1994. Ken’s deepest passion is sharing Jesus with others. Ken preaches uncompromised biblical truth with a combination of humor, research and stories. Ken graduated from George Fox University in 1991 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in biblical studies. He graduated from Fuller Theological Seminary in 1994 with a Master of Divinity degree. While studying at George Fox, Ken met and married the love of his life, Tresa. Ken and Tresa have two children and have been enjoying the “grandparent life” after welcoming their first grandchild in June 2021. Ken and Tresa share an equal sense of call to ministry in sharing their lives and gifts with Meridian Friends Church. They enjoy daily walks with their two pugs. They enjoy travel and have plans to lead their second study tour of the holy lands in 2022.

“What a joy Meridian Friends Church is to me. This remarkable church is truly family to us. I’m excited for the great things God is doing among us – changed lives, new attenders (including online folks worshipping with us from around the country), and meaningful times of celebration, growth and fellowship together. Click here to send me a question or note if there is any way I can be of resource or encouragement to you. I look forward to hearing from you.”

Jacob Newton

Jacob Newton is our Youth and Young Adult Pastor. Jacob experienced a desire to follow Christ due to youth ministry and has since followed Christ to lead others to Jesus as well. Jacob graduated from Barclay College in Haviland, KS in 2012 with a bachelors in youth ministry and biblical studies. Jacob is married to his wife Leah and they enjoy watching movies, playing board games and going to the beach.
“I love the Treasure Valley and am excited to call Meridian Friends my church home. I enjoy working with the youth of Meridian Friends and seeing them grow in their relationships with Christ. I know it is not within my power alone to change their lives, but God who does the work, and I am just glad to point them towards Him.”

Tresa Redford

Tresa Redford is the newest member of the Meridian Friends Church staff as the Family Life Pastor, but is not new to our church by any means.  With 25 years of ministry at MFC under her belt, alongside her husband, pastor Ken Redford, she has begun a new adventure ministering to the families of our church by organizing children’s ministries, encouraging women, and finding ways to strengthen marriages and help parents.  Tresa graduated from George Fox University in 1991 with a degree in Christian Educational Ministries and has spent the last 20+ years being a stay-at-home mom.  She and Ken have been married for 30 years, raised two children who are both now married, and are enjoying figuring out the empty nest life.

Kari Redford

Kari Redford started as the administrative assistant in February of 2021. She came to Meridian Friends Church through her husband Kyle Redford, who just so happens to be Pastor Ken’s son. Kari is originally from Vancouver, WA but moved to Idaho in 2016 to attend Northwest Nazarene University and play volleyball. After meeting Kyle at NNU, the couple married in 2018 and now have a son, Brooks, who was born in June 2021. She enjoys
listening to podcasts, watching mystery TV shows, and spending time at home with Kyle, Brooks,
their two dogs and cat.

“I am excited to be serving at MFC as it is a place where I truly feel connected to the body of Christ. Every one is so loving and welcoming, which I believe is an integral part of a church serving their community. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for MFC and how God continues to work in the lives of those in our church and community.”
